La Casa Del Formaggio is a South Australian owned and operated family business manufacturing a range of premium quality Italian style cheeses. The business commenced in 1988 through the efforts of Gerardo and Rosa Cicchiello. Two of their children, Claude and Marisa, became involved in the early 90’s, with Claude now assuming the role of Managing Director.
The company’s present location at Glynde boasts a purpose built first class facility with export capabilities. La Casa adheres to a strictly documented HACCP and Quality Assurance system, subject to third party audits on a regular basis.
All products are made from fresh 100% SA milk, are preservative, additive, Gluten and GM free. La Casa Del Formaggio still prides itself on providing hand made products, using many traditional cheese-making techniques.
The company has grown significantly over the last 10 years with staff numbers escalating to 30 in 2006. The site at Glynde hosts the manufacturing plant, retail shop, distribution centre and administration. La Casa Del Formaggio’s success can be attributed to its commitment to superior quality products and customer service. Company vans service the local sector – cafes, restaurants, hotels, continental and gourmet outlets while distribution partners assist with retail outlets, both locally and nationally.
