CheeseFest 2011
Cheesefest 2011 was a great weekend had by all! Located towards the east end of Rymill Park, the La Casa Del Formaggio stand was buzzing with the curiousity and appetites of the Adelaide public. With samples on offer, and The Barbeque Caterer grilling La Casa Del Formaggio haloumi skewers next door, attendees received their fix of delicious fresh Italian-style cheese. This year the event was extended to cover 2 full days, which meant an extra day of wine, craft beer, live music, cooking demonstrations, and of course, locally made cheese!
La Casa Del Formaggio offered complimentary tastings of Traditional Ricotta with Honey, Fresh Pecorino, Goats Cheese and Bocconcini with Basil Pesto (wildly popular this year). Retail products were available for purchase and they were snapped up quickly. If you are in Adelaide and did not attend this year, we highly recommend putting it on your to do list for October 2012.
