Wrapped, fried and drizzled to perfection with a honey lemon sauce. This Haloumi wrapped in filo is a golden bite of comfort!

Ingredients

1 large Haloumi
4 filo sheets
100g butter, melted
1/3 cup honey
1 lemon, juiced
1 tbsp rosemary leaves
2 tbsp toasted sesame

Preparation

1 Cut the haloumi in half lengthways and pat dry with paper towel.
2 Brush a filo sheet with melted butter and fold in half along the longer length.
3 Repeat with a second sheet of filo and place on top of the first sheet.
4 Place a haloumi half on to the bottom of the filo and fold and wrap until the cheese is enclosed.
5 Repeat with the other halloumi half.
6 Add the remaining butter to a medium non stick frypan over medium heat, add the haloumi parcels and fry until golden on all sides.
7 Meanwhile, heat the honey, lemon juice and rosemary in a small saucepan.
8 Serve haloumi parcels on a plate, drizzled with the honey sauce and sprinkled with sesame.
